10th Nov, PATTIE'S B'DAY. (EAT EAT EAT)

Went to The Tiong Bahru Club / The Singapura Club to celebrate Pattie's 23rd.
It's a really nice retro-looking restaurant.

57 Eng Hoon Street #01-88

Got her a flip wallet for clubbing from www.lykestore.com lol and threw in a moleskin booklet.
Anyway, the webstore's closing so pls get whatever u want.
If you want to get Daniel Wellington at 20% OFF,
Use the promo code qooruyellowshoess20 on the last page of discount.
Get it before christmas tho...

I can't find their menu online so I'll introduce the dishes by memory.
I HAVE SHORT TERM MEMORY SO I'LL TRY MY BEST OK.

Cheese sticks. This was good with chilli sauce. Love cheese :3

Oh yeah.

Beef stew with free flow of bread or rice.
I think it's free flow... lol cos I rmb it wasn't charged in our receipt.

The stew was very good. It was my fav dish out of the lot.
Btw, I suggest that you guys order the dishes to share.
One dish alone would be quite jelat.

The beef. So tender.
The gravy was also excellent.

I think this was sambal egg plant??
I only took a small piece of this..
It was nothing special to me...
Missing my grandparent's haebihiam (spicy dried shrimp sambal) eggplants.
Those were the best......

(T____T)

Devil's Chicken Curry was one of their best sellers.
Indeed, it was lip smackin' goooood.
Spicy and very tasty.
It's rather heavy on the palette too!

Most of their popular dishes were actually not on the menu that day.
VERY SAD.

Their shrimp green curry was quite a let down.
Lackin' an oomph in flavour and was watery rather than a thick coconut gravy.

Spicy clams? Lol I actually forgot the sauce and ARGHH I REALLYYYY hate it when there's no online menu and basically like only 5 people are writing about them....
This was alright. I think Jewel ate 2/3 of it HAHAHA.

Bazaar Grilled squid.
Marinated and stuffed with spicy pork and beef, char-grilled to perfection.

This was pretty special to me because number 1, I LOVE SQUID.
2, I LOVE ANYTHING CHARRED.
Order this when you go there!

The innards of the squid.

Truck Stop Fried Chicken.
This is also one of their specials.
I LOVED IT.
Order this when you are there too!

The kampung fried rice was a let down... I had two spoons of it and stopped.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT :)

Next it was Coq and Balls for some drinks.

6 Kim Tian Rd, 169246.
Nearest MRT would be Tiong bahru Station.

The drinks were quite pricey actually.
Had a glass of pina colada.

We were stuffed but Kelvin the gorilla still had the appetite to go on hahaha.
NOW LOOKING AT THIS, I REGRET NOT TRYING.
HE SAID IT WAS GOOD.

I like the interior :)

Hehehehe.

Jewjew :3

Zomg I'm really so chubs now but NO WORRIES FOR I AM SO STRESSED/NERVOUS/ANXIOUS WITH MY NEW JOB THAT I HAVE NO APPETITE TO EAT.
